In 1994 we began publishing The World Of Tribal Arts. Our aim was to provide our readers with the first magazine devoted to the traditional arts of tribal peoples from all corners of the world--art forms that are astounding in their beauty and diversity but known to only a few specialists.
Readership has grown to include art historians, artists, museum professionals, anthropologists, and collectors, as well as many who simply enjoy learning about mysterious cultures and admiring fine art. Now, we aim to amplify the service we offer our readers by offering this online service. To existing readers of the magazine, there will be added benefits through the electronic medium. Correspondence and comments will be more convenient, dates of events will be more up-to-date, and access to gallery sites, reviews and special offers will be more comprehensive than ever.
If you are new to The World of Tribal Arts, we hope that you will find the site to be both rich and stimulating, and that you will subscribe to our printed magazine in the near future for its full compliment of articles and images, of which this site offers only a sampling.
